Le chanteur vétéran Max Romeo annonce qu’il prendra sa retraite musicale en 2010, après un dernier album et une tournée d’adieu.
Après 42 ans de carrière et presque autant d’albums, Max Romeo devrait sortir un dernier opus de 14 titres l’année prochaine et s’embarquera en février 2010 pour sa dernière tournée, qui passera par l’Europe.
Il n’est cependant pas question pour lui de raccrocher complètement. Ainsi, il n’exclut pas de monter sur scène lors de gros événements. Il entend également continuer à produire ses fils et quelques artistes de son entourage via son studio d’enregistrement et son label Charmax Music. Max Romeo possède enfin un sound system, Satta Vibes, qui joue tous les dimanches soir à Treadways, où il réside.
Greensleeves vient de signer quelques grands noms du reggae passé et actuel. S’ajoute donc à leur catalogue : Dennis Brown, Sizzla, Peter Morgan, Elephant Man, Chuck Fender, Daniel « Blaxxx» Lewis, Germaine Clarke, Spice et Eloquence Publishing.
